General terms and conditions for the hotel and restaurant industry:
1. The accommodation contract is concluded as soon as the room has been booked and confirmed or, if confirmation was no longer possible due to time constraints, has been made available.
2. The conclusion of the accommodation contract obliges the contracting parties to fulfill the contract, regardless of the duration of the contract.
3. If the room is not made available (overbooking), the hotelier is obliged to compensate the guest in the form of a replacement room.
Cancellation deadlines:
4. a) If the guest does not make use of the contractual services, they are obligated to pay the agreed or customary price, less any expenses saved by the hotelier. For hotel room(s) or apartment bookings, as well as for reductions in the number of guests, free cancellation is possible up to 14 days before arrival. Within 14 days of arrival, 80% of the total price is due. In case of no-show (without notification to the hotelier), a cancellation fee of 80% of the total price is due.
b)
For group bookings: (from the 3rd room onwards)
From 8 weeks before arrival: 30% of the booked service as a cancellation fee.
From 4 weeks before arrival: 50% of the booked service as a cancellation fee.
From 2 weeks before arrival: 80% of the booked service as a cancellation fee.
For individual cancelled rooms within a group booking, the cancellation fees of the above scale apply according to the entire group booking.
These cancellation fees are binding unless otherwise agreed in writing.
In case of early departure or late arrival, 100% of the booked service will be charged.
If a room unit is occupied by fewer people than booked, 100% of the room price is still due.
c) Based on experience, the savings amount to 20% of the accommodation price for overnight stays and 20% of the board price for board arrangements (room with meals).
d) In the event of a no-show, the guest shall pay 100% of the agreed travel price.
5. The hotelier is obligated in good faith to attempt to re-let any unoccupied rooms to avoid losses. Until the rooms are re-let, the guest is required to pay the amount calculated according to clause 4 for the duration of the contract.
5.1 A separate fee will be charged for any soiling or damage to the hotel room, including its inventory.
5.2 Every theft will be reported to the police, and a processing fee of €100.00 will be charged.
6. Exclusive place of jurisdiction: Bamberg is agreed as the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all legal disputes arising from the business relationship, including actions on bills of exchange and checks, and the hotel's registered office in Forchheim.
7. In case of late payment (reminder) or non-payment of a cashless transaction (due to insufficient funds or overdraft), a processing fee of €15.00 will be charged.
8. Purchased vouchers for the hotel or restaurant are non-refundable and valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. No cash payment is possible.
9. The Winter Special Weekend, Romantic Weekend, 3-Day Getaway or 7 Nights - Pay for 6 at the Stern hotel can only be booked directly through our online portal. Subject to availability.
9.1 Your check-in starts at 4:00 PM on your arrival day. Your check-out is no later than 10:00 AM on your departure day.
9.2 Pets are only allowed upon request. A final cleaning fee of €15.00 will be charged for each dog. Dogs are not permitted on the beds, sofas, etc. Failure to comply will result in an increased cleaning fee of €100.00, plus the cost of replacing mattresses, etc.
10. On Sundays and public holidays, no intermediate cleaning of the rooms takes place; the guest is not entitled to a discount or other compensation in this regard.
11. No liability is accepted for forgotten or left-behind items/valuables.
12. The hotelier is not obliged to forward left-behind or forgotten items/valuables/goods free of charge.
At the hotelier's discretion, the forgotten items can be forwarded by sending a prepaid postage label.

In the restaurant we only accept cash or, for amounts of €10.00 or more, EC/Maestro card or Visa and Mastercard.
