Our charming country hotel in the heart of Gößweinstein offers 16 individually designed rooms, some with themed decorations, as well as two apartments near the main building, Stern. From our hotel, it's just a short walk to the impressive basilica of Gößweinstein and the picturesque Gernerfels viewpoint, which offers magnificent views of the region.
In our in-house restaurant, we will spoil you with typical Franconian specialties, homemade cakes, and delicious coffee specialties. Shopping facilities are also located in the immediate vicinity.
The surrounding hiking trails invite you to take long walks, and for climbing enthusiasts, the region is a true paradise. Since 2017, the hotel has been run by our dedicated tenant Bernd and his team, who warmly welcome you to the Landhotel-Gasthof Stern.
Gößweinstein, the holiday center of Franconian Switzerland, offers a wealth of sights and activities: forests, meadows, castles, mills, and caves – a diverse experience in a compact area. Our hotel is also the ideal starting point for fantastic motorcycle tours.

In our in-house restaurant, the chef himself will pamper you with a variety of culinary delights. It is especially important to us that all dishes are freshly prepared daily. Our vegetables are sourced primarily from the region and complemented by seasonal specialties. We obtain our meat and fish from farms that place great emphasis on sustainable production.
Our cakes and tarts are lovingly made by the chef himself. The kitchen team conjures up regional dishes from the finest ingredients, including our popular pan-fried schnitzel.
Naturally, we also offer a selection of cakes to complement your coffee. You won't find any pre-made products here, as we place great value on freshness and quality.
On Sundays and public holidays, we serve a selection of roast dishes and Schäuferla (pork shoulder). Should you wish to order Schäuferla during the week, we will gladly prepare it for you upon pre-order, starting from five portions.
